What is Total Hawk?
- Total Hawk combines all the features from both SMS
Counter and Minute Hawk into a single integrated
application.
- Instantly view extra charges you have incurred before
your monthly bill arrives.
- Total Hawk keeps track of your minutes and SMS
messages.
- Select the day of the month on which you are billed
by your carrier, and Total Hawk shows you exactly
how many minutes you’ve used and SMS messages
you’ve sent and received during each billing cycle.
- If you exceed the number of free minutes or free SMS
messages included in your cell phone plan, Total Hawk
calculates the additional charges automatically.
- You can even tell Total Hawk to send you an alert
whenever you exceed a specific number of minutes
or SMS messages each day or within each billing cycle.
Does the Treo’s built-in SMS program do this?
- No. The SMS program built into your Treo will show
you only the number of SMS messages that are
currently contained in your Treo’s SMS history.
- If you delete a message from the SMS history, the
count will no longer contain the current number of
SMS messages that you have sent or received.
- It also does not provide a monthly breakdown of
exactly how many messages you’ve sent or receieved
within each billing cycle. You can only view a total
of all messages in the SMS history.
What about the Treo’s built-in Call Log?
- No. The call log built into your Treo will show you
only the phone numbers dialed and received, but does
not display the number of minutes.
- The call log also does not provide a monthly
breakdown of exactly how many minutes you’ve used
within each billing cycle.
- If you delete calls from the Treo’s call log, Total Hawk
still maintains an accurate count of minutes used for
inbound and outbound calls.
