Warning: Some devices like Treo 600, Treo 650, Palm Centro, and others are with a slightly underpowered infrared port, so the effective range may be 1-3 meters (3-9 feet). However, for most devices the range is 5-10 meters (15-30 feet, sometimes up to 45 feet).
